Our Foundation

In 1981, five women who had strong family values created a sisterhood that encompasses respect and leadership. We are acknowledged as the First Multicultural Greek-lettered sorority in the nation, with goals rooted in academic excellence, community service, and unity among all women.

As a sorority, we have successfully provided our members with the knowledge and tools to succeed to their highest ability. We strive to build leaders with great moral values.

Our Membership Process

We respect the uniqueness of each individual. During our membership orientation process, we provide meaningful education about Mu Sigma Upsilon and foster lasting bonds of sisterhood.

We teach and challenge young women to understand the vital roles of women in society and to take pride in their cultural roots. This process equips our members with valuable skills to succeed in today’s professional world. We follow strict hazing prevention and risk management policies to ensure all activities are constructive and safe.

A Lifetime Sisterhood

The bonds of sisterhood are eternal, offering benefits long after the collegiate years. Our alumnae are thriving in diverse fields including the military, medical professions, engineering, law, advertising, education, and community leadership.
